Why did Mrs.Rosemary Oganyi start the Home ?
She was a businesswoman, who decided in seeking fulfillment by taking care of children. She has no offspring of her own and at one time started getting frequent dreams about children. A priest helped her in interpreting her dreams as a calling towards founding an orpahanage. How is the Home organized? Efforts are on the way to finalize registration of the home as NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) with the Federal Government Corporate Affairs Commission. The process is about to be completed anytime from now. The activities are overseen by a Board of Trustees comprising of eight members (see under Minutes of Meeting), while the everyday running of the Home’s affairs is entrusted to the Matron, Mrs.Rosemary Oganyi. How is the Home funded? It is purely privately funded, that is through donations and contributions from well-meaning citizens.
