Several of the NPC’s will require you to complete a quest in a certain amount of time, usually 10 days. Minsc wants you to rescue Dyanheir from the Gnoll Stronghold, and he will attack the party if you fail to do so within 10 days. Coran wants you to kill a wyvern, and although he won’t attack the party, he will leave. Kivan will require that you kill some bandits. Edwin will want you to find Dyanheir as well.
