Why did Michael Jackson convert to Islam?
Yes he did become Muslim, alhamdoulilah! (praise be to God). Why is everyone assuming that he’s guilty to begin with? Why judge people like that? In America, aren’t we supposed to believe in being innocent until proven guilty? In Islam, if you talk bad about someone or spread falsehood about them, all of their sins are passed on to you. I actually think Michael is innocent. But if he were guilty, in the eyes of God, it doesn’t matter anymore (so long as he is sincere in his conviction). All of his sins are wiped away. Also, when you become Muslim, all of your bad deeds from before are counted as good deeds (and all the good deeds are kept and multiplied). Lots of people say that his conversion only makes our faith look worse than it already does. But I for one don’t care (we’ve already endured other types lies about us, just look at the media).
