Why did Los Serranos Elementary School receive advanced notice of possible closure, but El Rancho and Gird Elementary Schools received only 2 days notice?
When the District was examining ways to enable opening the new school in The Preserve, a recommendation came forward to consolidate Los Serranos and Glenmeade ES. The consolidations would have saved the District money that could then be utilized to open the new school. However, the Board of Education did not want to consolidate schools to open a new school so the recommendation was tabled.
