Why did julius caesar invade britain?
-In Rome at the time, there were few people who could read, thus at parties there would be one person who would read to everyone. People wouldn’t want to sit and listen to books that were boring, and an invasion of Britain would keep their attention. Caesar wrote his own books, or had someone that he would dictate to, therefore although the books would not all be completely truthful – the exaggerations made would be sure to keep interest in Caesar and what he achieved.
