When Jordan first retired, many superstar atheletes would retire before they got over the hill. Many questioned Jerry Rice staying in the NFL for so long. Most superstars of that caliber would retire when they are old enough that they don’t think they will ever better than they are at that moment, and that it is all downhill from there.
