Why did Japan get involved in World War 2?
Basically, at WW2, two friends Germany and Japan wanted to expand their territories. So they agreed that Germany would take Europe and Japan would control Asia, Australia, and Pacific Ocean. (Actually, there was a little one named Italy at that time, and by joining two big friends, Italy got some lands in north Africa. But comparing to Germany and Japan in WW2, Italy was much weaker and its role in the war was very small.) In the first years of WW2, the United States only helped European friends as England, France,… to fight Germany in Europe. But when Japan tried to expand his kingdom and went South more and more, they knew sooner or later, they would encounter the US who was at the other side of Pacific Ocean.
