Why did it take so long to introduce water ionisers to the West?
Emco Tech made a decision to concentrate its design and marketing efforts in its domestic area before moving internationally. Unfortunately the West is still very biased against Asian research. Although Japan translates over 90% of Western scientific papers, the West only translates 10% of Japanese. Untranslated Japanese reports show that there are over a million water ionisers sold in Japan every year, by major manufacturers like Emco Tech, Panasonic, Akai and Toyo. Also alkaline water is used throughout Japan and Korea in hospitals and clinics. Today South Korea is the world leader, manufacturing over 40,000 alkalisers per month for domestic consumption only.
