Why did it leave the confines of the Hualapai Water Campus?
Was the spill something to be concerned about? What can be done in the future to eliminate this potential hazard? These were the questions we had after hearing of the spill. Knowing that this was a sewer treatment plant, and knowing that extremely hazardous chemicals could have come into play because of the spill, timing was of the essence to get some concrete answers. With that in mind, we contacted the City of Scottsdale and scheduled a meeting to tour the Hualapai Facility with General Manager of the Water Resource Department Marshall P. Brown and a Project Director Chris Perkins for the Water Resource Department. The meeting was very pleasant, educational and an eye-opener to say the least.
