Why did InSpec stop working after I configured the computer for my network?
Improper network installation and configuration are a very common cause of computer problems. Micro-Vu strong recommends purchasing your computer with a network card from Micro-Vu. Micro-Vu now pre-installs network cards. Before installing a network card, make sure that Plug-n-Play is disabled in the BIOS settings. Do not load the BIOS defaults. After installing a network card in the computer, but before installing any drivers, test InSpec to make sure it works. While installing drivers, install a minimal configuration with just TCP/IP and no DHCP or WINS services. Test InSpec again. Now configure for your network and re-test InSpec. If InSpec becomes problematic at this point, the network configuration is incompatible.
