Lindsay, who was working a full-time job while wrapping up her freshman year, beat out thousands of other students for the Ice Cube Scholarship for Recording Technology. Each applicant had to turn in an originally produced track, which was reviewed by Cube himself. “I was ecstatic when I learned that I won,” Lindsay told AHH. “The school offers the most hands-on and real-world experience working with record labels and studios anywhere in the world.” The scholarship was done in conjunction with McNallly Smith, which is the first musical college to offer a hip-hop degree.
