Why did Gatorade decide to drop Tiger Woods sports drink?”
Yesterday Gatorade joined the list of products that no longer want to be endorsed by Tiger Woods, even after his well-publicized apology speech. “We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship,” a Gatorade spokeswoman said. “We wish him all the best.” The Tiger Woods/Gatorade brand drinks have been off the shelves since November, which was before the scandal broke, and at the time Gatorade stuck by him. But as of Friday they have joined the two other major endorsement deals to have dropped him: AT&T and Accenture ended their associations with him within weeks of the Thanksgiving debacle.
