Why did Excelsior Henderson use a springer front forks?
A. Springer is a term HD uses, and it is very different from E-Hs. The HD Springers are a trailing link and the Excelsior-Henderson is a leading link front end. The benefits to using a leading link front end are numerous, including anti-dive braking. Most manufacturers use telescopic forks because they are less expensive to manufacture.
