Why did Communist Russia support Fascist Germany in WWII?

The USSR and Germany had a mutual enemy – Great Britain. The USSR believed that one day the Capitalist Countries like the British and Americans were going to wage a war with the intent of destroying Communism. The USSR believed that whilst Fascism from Germany will one day turn it’s attention to the USSR, that they could use it to eliminate the threat of Capitalism. So Stalin tried to greatly improve German-Soviet relations so that they could become strong enough to destroy Capitalism together. Then from thereon, Stalin believed that one day after that he would have to go to war with the Nazis. He believed he had a long time before that would become necessary. He was dead wrong however, when he found German tanks launching the Blitzkreig into Soviet Territory one day in 1941… I do believe to this day that had Germany not commenced Operation Barbarossa in 1941 that the Soviet Union would’ve joined World War 2 on the German side by 1942. If Hitler had not have been so foolish to think

They didn’t support fascist Germany, not during the World war 2.Stalin did believe that Germany would never attack Russia. They had made peace after 1917 at Brest Litovsk much to the distaste of opposition and the Russian parliament. In the secret negotiations with Russia it was agreed by both sides that India shall be considered under the Russian sphere of aspiration after the allied powers would b weakened and when India achieves independence and tht was during Hitler’s time. But,when Germany finally attacked Russia in 1941.Stalin became determined and the Russian army hounded the Germans upto Berlin.
