Why did Clients & Profits do an all web-based version?
“Over the last 10 years I’ve pushed new features into Clients & Profits to the point where it’s too much (and too expensive) for freelancers, small design studios, and advertising agencies who are just getting started. I’d wanted to do a back-to-basics app — just clients, jobs, costs, and billings — for many years, but couldn’t justify the R&D. But the internet changed everything. High-speed connections, economical ISPs, and the Linux-based dev tools made it economical for us to offer C&P ASAP for only 30 bucks a month, which makes Clients & Profits quality and value affordable for just about anyone.
