Why did Cary decide to use still images instead of streaming video?
Our engineers have predicted that many citizens will be simultaneously logged-on to the wink Web site, creating a large burden on the Towns available bandwidth. Because streaming video requires a significant rate of sending and receiving data from the site, we opted to display still images, thereby providing clear, accurate images that provide a high level of usefulness to our citizens.
