Why did Captain Price launch the missile?
Captain Price launched the missile in response to the continuing conflict happening on American Soil. The following cinematic shows an astronaut surveying the missile from his post beside a space shuttle. Price’s missile detonated as an E.M.P (Electro Magnetic Pulse), causing all electronics to malfunction. This gave the United States a chance to fend the Russians, eventually leading to Victory.
