The recorded file (EMM format) is optimized for speedy recording and it needs to be converted to editable file (same file format) which minimizes audio sync issues. If you are not planning to edit a lot, you don’t need to convert if you prefer. Please note that there might be audio sync issue if you edit the file without converting it to editable format.
