Why did CAA create a Home2Home Program?
Companion Animal Advocates has made a long term commitment to “promoting the rescue and adoption of homeless animals”. CAA saw a need, especially in this challenging economy, that families were having to re-home their pets because they no longer have the means to properly care for their animals anymore. Rather than see these family pets become part of the shelter system, CAA found a unique way to introduce these animals in need of homes to potential new families by helping to publicize the pet through our website, e-mail blasts, and circulation of flyers throughout the community. While CAA does not directly participate in the selection of an adopting family, CAA does provide publicity, resources and tools that allow both the adopter and the adoptee to have a positive adoption experience.
