Why did Brown switch to Interfolio?
As with many of our peer institutions, Brown has made the decision to transition to the Interfolio online credential management system for reasons related to the outstanding, proven service provided by this vendor. Interfolio offers 24/7 availability to check file status, 24 hour turnaround time on dissemination requests, the ability to store multiple types of documents in a secure manner, and the option to submit documents to employers/schools electronically as well as by mail. For these reasons, this user-friendly, efficient system is now being used by hundreds of institutions around the country. Additionally, this transition supports the Brown is Green initiative by reducing the need for paper documents.
