Why did Billy Bob Thornton freaks out during the CBC Q interview?
Actor, screenwriter, director and sometime musician, Billy Bob Thornton, took CBC Q host Jian Ghomeshi to task today during an interview promoting his upcoming musical tour supporting Willie Nelson, refusing to answer questions, cursing on national radio and TV, and sitting out a planned in-studio live performance. Thornton’s hostile showing began right at the outset when long-time Q host Ghomeshi referred to his musical career as “a major passion” in his life after making casual mention of his career in film. Thornton, at first refusing to give anything more than “I don’t know” answers to the most basic questions, eventually launched into a tirade about Ghomeshi’s opening, claiming the host was “instructed” not to talk about acting.
