Why did Americans react badly to Family Guys Brian admitting he was an Atheist?
I loved Family Guy, and as a Catholic I was not offended by their religious jokes. The show was not always so political and anti-religious, I especially liked the episode where Peter meets the Pope. In 2007 Family Guy stated to loose my attention as they kept making fun of movies and people I’ve never heard of before, and I started to realize that a lot of their material was copied (like the Rocket man song), and the anti-abstinence episode annoyed me, and Stewie stopped being the awesome “take over the world” baby I liked and turned to a homosexual. However the episode where Brian says he’s an atheist was the last straw! They were no longer being funny on the subject of religion, now it was all just rant against all religions but atheism. Even Brian’s voice changed, he was sarcastic and cool but now he has a bit of a whiny voice. I hope more people realize now that Family Guy is now an extremist propaganda aimed at teenagers and young adults, we only watch it for the jokes and violenc
