Iran took American hostage Iran and Iraq went to war we and others helped Iraq ”pay back time” Iraq invaded Kuwait they as usual beg us to help the Brits and euros wanted us to protect their oil supply We did and handed Iraq it’s back side We were the hero’s to Kuwait,Brits and euros at that time But as always from all of them it’s ”What have you done for us lately?”

America supplied Saddam with WMD’s, which Saddam used against Iranians. The war was advocated and supported by US. Saddam even used these WMD’s against innocent Kurds BUT of course there was no condemnation then. Rather during this period Saddam was a key US ally. Saddam invaded Kuwait and suddenly there was no need for Saddam. US saw this as neutralizing Saddam, as he was a threat to Israel. Only reason he was armed in the first place was to use him to gain own strategic gains.
