Why did America fake the Apollo 11 moon landing….?
Since the USA didn’t fake Apollo 11 or another of the six manned lunar landings, your question can’t be answered. The other countries would likely be pretty disappointed, and the USSR, the cold war enemy of the USA, would have used any tiny doubt on the landing to injure the USA. Strangely, in the real world, the USSR had been among the first countries to congratulate NASA and the USA for their success.
