Why did Adam and Eve fall into sin?
• QUESTION: If Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, which is perfect, why were they able to be tempted? If they were perfect, than why did they fall into that sin? • ANSWER: God could have created life in a way that would not have allowed for any imperfection. He chose not to do that. He chose to create perfect people in a perfect world and give them the opportunity to choose between right and wrong. God could have created a system where there was no wrong. He chose not to do that. He created angels who could choose. He created human beings who could choose. Some angels chose to do wrong instead of right. He did not give them a second chance to choose right. The first humans chose to do wrong instead of right. God created people with minds and hearts that could respond freely to Him. He gave them (us) a second chance to choose right. He showed us His Amazing Love and Grace by becoming the Sacrifice for our sins. We know and understand the depths of Love because of His Gift of
