Why did Abe’s voice get lower from Abe’s Oddysee to Abe’s Exoddus?
Lorne altered the tone of Abe’s voice to make it more audible, thinking Abe should have grown as a character following his Oddysee, and this could be reflected by a ‘hardening’ of his voice. Many fans preferred Abe’s voice as it was in Oddysee, and in retrospect Lorne realized Abe’s Oddysee voice haad been a part of his essence and charm. For Munch’s Oddysee, Lorne made the tone of Abe’s voice a mixture of the two but closer to that of Abe’s Oddysee.50 Paul O’Connor independently offered a couple of explanations, suggesting the differenc was down to a different audio compression, or Josh Gabriel’s uncredited voice work in Abe’s Oddysee.
