Why did Abes voice get lower from Abes Oddysee to Abes Exoddus?
There are three reasons given for this. The first is that Abe’s Exoddus used a different compression rate, so some sounds, most noticeably Abe’s voice, may have come out differently. More likely, audio producer Josh Gabriel did uncredited voice work on the first game, possibly giving Abe a higher voice, while Abe’s Exoddus featured Lorne’s unaltered voice. The most likely reason, however, is that Lorne wanted to try a sadder, more duty-burdened voice for the second game.
