for the high voltage we never want water or moisture around Because water and electricity they are like enemies they don’t like each other.The point is if there is moisture in the gas you even dry it with some special equipment or empty the gas and fill the new gas in.The main point of using sf6 gas is the arc extinguishing property of this gas that is why. The volume or the pressure of the gas if you are losing gas from the device or the tank than you will have a problem about insulation, operation and your operation personnel is in danger after that you can lose some of the equipments.That is why in traction power supply or transformer centers they have to check everything and find the points that needs maintenance and do it.
