Why credit cards with reward programs are so good?
This option works best for those who make most of their purchases with a card. Credit cards with reward programs allow you to earn bonuses (cash back, airlines miles, movie discounts, gas credit, hotel rewards, etc.) for purchasing things with your card. You spend money and earn at the same time. Sounds like a good deal. Naturally, there are also some disadvantages (see Credit Cards for Students: Advantages and Disadvantages). So, how do credit cards with reward programs work? You get points for making purchases. Then, all these points accumulate for every dollar charged on your credit card. You can redeem your points for different rewards. Usually, credit cards with reward programs require better-than-average credit to be approved.
