Why conservative christians believe mankind is evil in his nature?
Because it is true, but I wouldn’t call it evil. I would call it corrupt. Look at a baby, everything is about what it wants. As it gets older one of the first things a kid learns is how to lie. The next 18 years is spent by the parents teaching the child how to behave in public and how to treat others. We are amazed and call people heroes and give out awards on the rare occasion when someone does not think of themselves first and helps people. On the other hand we are also amazed and turn serial killers and murderers into cultural icons. If a person is bold enough to actually call another person evil based on the other person’s actions, then we protect the evil person by ridiculing the person who called them that. We will drag that person over the coals for calling someone else evil, because we don’t want to hurt the evil person’s feelings. We protect evil over honesty in that situation.
