It means that you’ve set the resolution of your desktop too high. Normally, when setting this within windows, you can wait 30 seconds for it to go back to the previous setting. Or it could be a video card or monitor problem. Try turning off the monitor then turning it back on. If you have a video card, try reseating it (removing it from the PCI or AGP slot and placing it back in again), or reinstalling the drivers. This could be quite hard without a display, so try using a different one with a higher supported frequency, if you can.
