Please explain exceptions.” There are several reasons for asking the question. There are companies that for security reasons can only employ citizens. Why waste their time or yours? Legally a company cannot employ a person who is not either a citizen, or has the proper visa for working in country. If a person is currently sponsored by another company, a visa transfer MAY be possible but such transfers need to be reviewed as to where a persons legal status is in the visa and possible resident alien or naturalization process. There are reasons to NOT do a transfer. (There are times when a transfer would set back the naturalization or permanent resident process and a candidate should be advised to NOT change companies at that time.) The best bet for immigrating on a visa is a person who has Scientific or technological expertise. This makes them a rare commod
