Why Colt 1911?
They retain their value better than any other production handgun on the market. If you know where to shop they are not significantly more expensive than other production 1911s of the same quality. If you know where to shop and buy smart you can get a NIB Colt for XXX price and shoot it and if need be sell it for almost zero loss in value. That cannot be said for most other production 1911s.
