Why CIS Accounts?
At UCI, clubs and organizations are a critical element of campus CIS. They sponsor amazing activities and events for the entire campus community, they’re the life of campuswide programs, and they are an integral part of daily student life. UCI CIS Accounts were created to help clubs and organizations organize, communicate, and project their identities to other students and/or the world. The prosperity and accomplishments of clubs and organizations augment the entire university and its CIS. HISTORY In 1997, most clubs and organizations did not have websites or e-mail accounts. Some used an officer’s personal e-mail account or signed up for free commercial websites and/or e-mail while a very few were able to talk UCI departments into hosting their sites.
