Well, that is an interesting question. You will understand that this, as far as I can see, is as it clams a Roman Catholic document against those who were and are Protestants. That name Protestant implies dissent from the RC Church then as now. Whether it is says exactly as you claim, I don’t know, but the word soul needs investigating further anyway. But if we take it as being that anyone black does not have the same hope as a white person it is obviously a total nonsense. As for that matter, in the quick glimpse I have had from Wikipedia, is much of it. You only have to think of the special care that the Ethiopian eunuch received to know what a total nonsense was being put across at that Council. There is no colour predjudice in Scripture. The only distinctions are between Jews, God’s chosen people and the Gentiles, the rest of the world. Now there is not the same division as Gentiles have been ‘grafted in’, providing they obey God.

It was a catholic belief. In other words man made religion claimed this. Throughout history man has used religion to justify his sins. Jews, Indians, etc. have been unjustly killed, tortured & enslaved because it was “God’s will”. At that time the masses didn’t have the Word of God, only the priests did. Martin Luther wasn’t born until 1485. Wilberforce was a christian that fought to abolish slavery. Between his wealth & knowledge he could have led an easy life. Instead he suffered physically & emotionally for doing what was right & died young. But he made a difference. Many warring clans sold their brothers into slavery. You can look at it like if there had been no market they couldn’t have done that or you can see that many would have just been killed if there had been no market to sell them in. Darfur is a modern day example. If not for the slavery of your ancestors it could be you and yours over there now. Or even possibly your father or grandfather might have never lived that you
Because there are false man-made religions that claim to be Christian, but in fact are no more followers of Christ than Satan is. The Roman Universal church teaches as well as believes that she has the authority to change and alter the Holy Word of God to fit her agenda. “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” – Genesis 2:7. Only Satan would say that someone did not have a soul, he would be the only one to benefit from such a deception. The Roman Universal church does not follow the Christ and therefore teaches doctrine that is false and useless. All the people of the world are living souls, every person on the earth or that has ever walked the earth is derived from the first living souls, Adam and his wife.
