why choose wintrs-pos over trs4dos?
WinTrs-POS is designed using the “Windows” standard. It is mouse driven and offers flexible support for a multitude of printers, barcode scanners and charge card verifiers under the control of Windows. Multiple windows may be open at the same time to do lookups etc.. Reports are more elaborate and incorporate the “drill down” feature (display all the detail that makes up a total). Trs4Dos is a “Unix” type system, only one program can run at a time. Hardware such as printers, and scanners are controlled by the program. Reports provide the same basic information as WinTrs-Pos windows version.
