Why choose the New Brunswick Department of Supply and Services as the proponent?
The New Brunswick Department of Supply and Services (NBDSS) has proven expertise in project management, most recently on the Petitcodiac River Causeway EIA. The Eel River Dam EIA needs strong management skills. NBDSS has those skills and has outside resources it can call upon when needed. As well, NBDSS has expressed no opinion on the Eel River Dam issues and has no vested interest in the outcome of the EIA. It can operate at arm’s length.
