Why choose Mechanical Engineering at Concordia?
The Mechanical Engineering program offers a balance between analysis and practice, and theory and applications. Our undergraduate curriculum places considerable emphasis on design and laboratory components as well as on lectures and coursework. We have about 40 different laboratories, including the gas turbine, vehicle systems, composites, and flight control labs. Final year courses are loaded with relevant projects that give students the opportunity to apply the analytical and experimental skills they have developed and also provide a first-hand introduction to industry. Students can choose from four options that allow them a certain degree of specialization depending on their interests: (A) Thermo-Fluid and Propulsion, (B) Design and Manufacturing, (C) Mechatronics and Control Systems, or (D) Aerospace and Vehicle Systems.
