Why choose an electric shower with a high kilowatt rating?
Electric showers with a higher kilowatt rating allow for a greater flow rate of water giving you a more powerful shower. Electric showers heat cold water on demand by passing it over a heating element similar to that in a kettle. To increase the temperature, the flow rate is restricted so the water is heated for longer but this also means the flow rate of the shower is less. An electric shower with a higher kilowatt rating is able to heat the water to the same temperature more quickly and so will not have to restrict the flow rate of water as much, providing a more powerful shower.
