Why can’t WeMakeItSafer guarantee the information provided to be correct?
Our tools and services are based on information obtained from government agencies who themselves do not guarantee the data to be accurate or complete. In addition, we manipulate the data both electronically and manually which can introduce errors. That said, WeMakeItSafer works hard to clean and check information; we’ve even found (and corrected!) several errors in government data. While we cannot provide any warranty that our site, information, tools or services will be free from defects, we honestly believe we offer a better solution. If we didn’t we wouldn’t be here. We started this company with a mission to dramatically reduce the number of product-related injuries and deaths that occur each year, in the U.S. and around the world. Every decision we make, from day to day operations to long term strategy, keeps this mission in mind.
