The Philadelphia International Airport voluntarily participates in a study called the Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study (Part 150 study). One of the initiatives of the program is to expand the existing airport noise monitoring system, to install more monitors in communities beyond those existing in close proximity. The Philadelphia International Airport Environmental Stewardship team is currently waiting for the approval to install these additional noise monitors. The Philadelphia International Airport will also be updating their Part 150 study in the future and will be seeking money from the federal government to increase the capabilities of the program. According to the Philadelphia International Airport Noise office, the Ardens and northern Delaware will be considered for the additional noise monitors installation.
