Why can’t we buy a student Metropass directly from the TTC?
The TTC does not offer a student discount to post-secondary students. U.T.S.U., working with the other GTA students’ unions, negotiated with the Toronto Transit Commission to become a V.I.P. customer. This stands for Volume Incentive Pass program. They sell Metropasses to us at a reduced rate because of volume.
