Why cant the National Board, consisting as it does of ex-CEOs of Affiliates, recognize that their Affiliates would be hurt by these actions?
They obviously feel it is more important to make NACM National wealthier, but why at the expense of its own Affiliates? What is their motivation to harm their Affiliates? Whom are they supposed to be representing on the National Board? When their terms are over, do they go back to their Affiliates (who may not be affiliated anymore)? • Why cant National and the Affiliates resolve their differences? The issues in dispute have been under discussion for over three years, and there have been three separate agreements along the way, each of which failed. The Secretarial Council has several times offered mediation or binding arbitration to resolve the issues, but National has refused. Many of the local boards of directors have reluctantly concluded that there will not be a resolution. NACMs leadership has stated they are no longer addressing Affiliate issues and are instead moving ahead with their own agenda. • Whos to blame? Blame is not an issue. Rather, each party is pursuing the interest
