WHY CAN’T THE DENTIST RESTORE ONLY THE BIGGER CAVITIES AND LET THE SMALLER ONES ALONE FOR A WHILE?

Charges for dental services for a child are based on the time required to provide the services with little regard to the material used. Obviously, it takes longer to fill a big cavity in a tooth than a small one. Most important is that once the decay process starts, it seldom stops by itself. Thus small cavities will eventually become larger and larger and more difficult to fill. Complete dental care saves the physical discomfort for the child and other complications that may arise. It is cheaper.
