Why can spamdyke validate a recipient address before accepting a message?
This would be very nice to have but it’s not very easy to implement. Qmail doesn’t make it easy to determine if an address is valid and vpopmail (if present) only complicates matters. Since it’s better to accept spam than reject legitimate email, this feature doesn’t exist (yet). If you have a suggestion or method for checking recipient validity, I’d love to know about it. Note: recompiling qmail or reusing qmail’s source code is not an option.
