Why can PSOP connect to the Primavera database?
There are several reasons this could happen. The most likely problem is a network issue. If Primavera P3e itself is also unable to connect to the database, then network connectivity between your computer and the database has been disrupted and you should talk to your system administrator. If Primavera can connect to the database but PSOP cannot, this is probably because Primavera does not provide a way for external applications to learn the fully qualified host name of the P3e database. For example, if your database was hosted on a computer called database.mycompany.com, PSOP would only be able to learn that the host was called database; P3e does not provide to PSOP the mycompany.com part of the host name. This is only a problem if the domain for the database host is not in the DNS suffix search list. To correct this issue you must add the domain for the database host to the DNS search list.
