Why can posters use LJs tag feature for organization and to help members find older posts?
Several reasons. LiveJournal caps the number of posts per tag at 100, making the feature unusable for Yaoi Daily’s purposes. Moreover, there are possible variations in the spelling of both titles and mangaka due to either typos or romanization differences — again, this does not provide an effective organization system. We would like to keep the rules simple and as few as possible. Too many rules are prohibitive to the enjoyment of the community. Lastly, Yaoi Daily is an image posting/eye candy community, intent on promoting a vast array of talents and titles. Yaoi Daily is not a file sharing community or an archive (there are plenty of those already). We do not require that posters host images indefinitely. Consequently, organizing older posts where the images and links are no longer functioning is moot.
