Libraries are supported through property taxes. The residents of Markle pay their library tax to the Huntington City-Township Public Library.

Libraries are supported through property taxes. The residents of Markle pay their library tax to the Huntington City-Township Public Library. However, in 2010 Huntington-City Township Public Library and Wells County Public Library did sign a reciprocal borrowing agreement that now allows card holders to use both library systems.
