Why can people answer questions without resorting to Biblical quotes.?
Some people are not comfortable explaining things with their own thoughts and fear that they might be misinterpreting what God has said to them in scripture. We believe that the word of God is always true, but I have found that it is very difficult for an atheist (for example) to understand specific passages from the Bible. This occurs for only one reason. Atheists do not accept the Bible as truth therefore have no confidence in anything it might say. However, in defense of the Christians (including myself), an atheist will often condemn our beliefs as being a weakness of our mind, a sign that shows we lack intelligence etc. So as the old adage goes, we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t. No Christian has the ability to open the eyes of someone who is dedicated to hating something they do not understand. I for one have long since given up attempting to convince a self proclaimed atheist of anything. Only their heart can lead them just as only my own heart led me to my relations
