Why cant National and the Affiliates resolve their differences?
The issues in dispute have been under discussion for over three years, and there have been three separate agreements along the way, each of which failed. The Secretarial Council has several times offered mediation or binding arbitration to resolve the issues, but National has refused. Many of the local boards of directors have reluctantly concluded that there will not be a resolution. NACMs leadership has stated they are no longer addressing Affiliate issues and are instead moving ahead with their own agenda.
